**UPDATED**I’ve been studying…

…and after reviewing all of this high school/college chemistry, I’m beginning how it is that I’m going to make this interesting for anyone else to learn!

If I’m having this much trouble sitting down and reviewing all that I learned in general chemistry, how am I going to motivate someone else of it’s importance and intrigue?  Hoepfully I can be creative and hands on in the lab!

 So far:

Competency 1.0 :Matter and Energy
Competency 2.0: Heat and Thermodynamics
Competency 3.0 Atomic and Nuclear Structure
Competency 4.0 Nomenclature
Competency 5.0 The Mole, Chemical Bonding, and Molecular Geometry
Competency 6.0 Periodicity and Chemical Reactivity
Competency 7.0 Chemical Reactions
Competency 8.0 Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry – 1/5 DONE
Competency 9.0 Solutions and Solubility – 1/5 DONE (1/9)
Competency 10.0 Acid/Base Chemistry – 1/5 DONE (1/9)

The rest of these are mostly review – Thank Goodness!
Competency 11.0 Nature of Scientific Methodology, Inquiry and Knowledge
Competency 12.0 Historical Perspective
Competency 13.0 Science, Technology and Society
Competency 14.0 Mathematics, Measurement, and Data Manipulation
Competency 15.0 Laboratory Procedures and Safety

Unfortunately I also have another book to study – General Science.  I’m so grateful for the overlapping topics!  Better get to work!  One more week  Two more days to study!

** Update** Studying has been going.  A little slowly at times.  The next two days, I’ll be reading over all of that history/lab procedure stuff and finishing up studying for the General Science exam as well as working on some practice problems!  Wish me luck!
