My name is Travis and I am ALSO your host.

Since we’re getting married and going on this crazy adventure together, this is now our blog. I kinda wish they were called something besides blogs because I feel like that name implies I’m just puking all my thoughts right out onto into the world…which I guess is kinda what’s happening here so…I like the name blog.

These photos were taken in a photobooth that was rented for my cousins wedding. The idea was to take the pictures and put them into a scrap book and write in the scrap book to give some sort of sentimentality for the bride and groom. There really was a lot of sentimentality in it (well, there is now anyway) but we kept the pictures.

You see a creepy blurry face on the left and someone who looks like they’re trying to jump into a picture on the right. What you’re supposed to see is Rebbeca and I making our faces look big and puffy right up in the camera. She got so close that the flash didn’t light up her face. That’s actually how close I wanted us both, but I couldn’t get that close and it didn’t work anyway.

Rebbeca’s favorite. It’s no surprise that her favorite has her smiling and looking pretty, and me looking like a tool. We were shaking our heads back and forth trying to make them look all blurry. The shutter speed was faster than I anticipated. Inspiration for this came from an old Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin wouldn’t take a good picture for Christmas/School/whatever…

We tried to take a nice picture. We had taken a strip of photos earlier and put them into the book, but the “nice” one was excellent and we wanted to duplicate it. This one isn’t nearly as good as that one. However, we kept that one, too. All these would likely be amazing if I could figure out a way my hair looks good…I just don’t know what to do with it.

Finally, the “what in the world…” picture. It was our first kiss which I think she enjoyed much more than it appears. She pulled away too soon because she almost passed out from how
incredible it was…or something. Regardless, I’ll admit that it looks like I’m making a move, and am not as slick as I think. No worries though, I am.

The reality of our lives is illustrated amazingly in this strip of 2×1 photos. We are goofy. We are cute. We are awkward. We try to have a plan. We make mistakes. We are in love. We are always leaning on each other.
